How to Measure your Head

How to measure your head for a wig … follow these easy steps:

Before you measure, make sure to flatten your hair, in fact it works best when your hair is wet so can slick your hair down. Use a cloth tape measure and do not stretch the tape measure, just rest it over or around your head. Pulling stretches the tape and will give you the wrong size.

1. Measure - Head Circumference

Measure around your head to get the circumference

Measure around your head at the hairline from front pulling around nape of your neck and meeting up at front of the hairline. The circumference size of most wigs can be adjusted up to 1" larger or smaller to ensure a secure fit. The measuring tape should be just above the ear and along your natural hairline. Measure TWICE to be sure - this is the most important measurement. Tip: if you do not have a cloth measuring tape you can you non-stretchable string and then calculate measurement by using a ruler, measure this twice to be sure.

2. Measure - Front to Back

Measure your head from the nape of your neck over the crown to the top of your forehead where your natural hairline ends.

3. Measure - Ear to Ear

Measure your head from the top of one ear, over the crown to the top of the other ear.

Find your Size: (the wigs we sell are average to average/large size unless stated otherwise in the description)

The circumference size of most wigs can be adjusted up to 1" larger or smaller to ensure a secure fit. All wigs should be worn with a wig cap cover to ensure a better fit; you can find wig caps in nude/beige, brown & black under wig accessories on our website
